Reggae Legend Majek Fashek Passed On At 57

Majek Fashek Majekodunmi Fasheke was a Nigerian popular Reggae musician. He was born in February 1963. Although he was born and raised in Benin city where his mother was a native, he was a native of Ijesha , Osun State, Nigeria. Apart from being an international reggae musician, he was also a trumpeter, guitarist and an actor. The news of his death broke early this morning, 2nd of June, 2020 at 57. Some of his works are: 1. Send down the rain 2. So long too long 3. Prisoner of Conscience etc.

Enharmonic Notes

Enharmonic note is a note with two theoretical names and same sound. Examples of Enharmonic notes on a keyboard   Analysis A black key next to a white key is its sharp. For instance the next black key to C note in the image above is C# (C sharp). That means it raises the the note (C) by a semitone. A black key before a white key is its flat. For instance the black key before note D is Db (D flat). That means it lowers the note (D) by a semitone. Five Major Enharmonic Notes 1. C# is the same as Db 2. D# is the same as Eb 3. PROFESSOR OLATUNJI AKIN EUBA Akin Euba as popularly known was born in Lagos in the year 1935. He studied composition at the Trinity College of Music London, United Kingdom. He received B.A and M.A. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds a Ph. D. in ethnomusic ology from the University of Ghana, Logon. He is known as a Nigerian composer, Musicologist, Pianist and an Author. He passed on this morning (15/04/2020) at the age 85. Some of his works are: 1. Olurounbi (Symphonic study for orchestral) 2. Chaka (opera) 3. Ice Cube (string orchestra) 4. Waker Duru (studies in African Pianism 1-3, piano) 5. Impression from an Akwete cloth (piano) 6. Six Yoruba folk songs, arranged for voice and piano. BECOME YOUR CHURCH KEYBOARDIST IN SEVEN DAYS (Lesson 1) Introduction- For this lesson to be successful you'll need a working keyboard placed in front of you. Put on the keyboard and minimize the volume. Facing the keyboard, you'll notice it consist of white and black keys. The white keys were arranged serially while the black keys were arranged in groups of 2 and 3. Try to press the keyboard keys (white and black) from your left hand side to your right hand side. You'll realise that, the sound from the left are tick and becomes light as you play forward to your right hand side. That means keyboard sounds were arranged from left hand side to the right. Identification of note C and middle C is the next.  Note C is the first white key before a two set of black keys. 'Before' means, the white key on the left side of two sets of black keys. HOW TO SING PRAISE AND WORSHIP

How to sing praise and worship 1. Start by making the congregation stand. It's a sign of respect and surrender to God. 2. Share a short exaltation or scriptural verse. Maximum of 2mins. You are not there to preach. 3. Sing with your eyes opened. It helps you monitor the service especially the congregation and time. 4. Sing popular or congregational songs. You are there to lead and not to do a solo. 5. Avoid changing songs quickly. Its not about changing of songs. 6. Sing every song for at least 3mins before u change to another 7. Be sensitive to the spirit. (Rom. 8:14) 8. Make room for the congregation to express their worship also. 8. Focus and be active on stage as your involvement will have a great impact on the congregation. 9. Allow for a minute silence during the worship session.
